Our Causes & Programs

Zakatul Fitr - $20 person per person per household – due before Eid day

Zabiah Donation - Instead of sacrificing an animal donate to us and we will use that money to aid our cause. This should be paid before or within 3 days of Eid.

Kaffara for non-fasting adults – meal for a day x by the number of days (example, if an adult could not fast for 30 days, recommended donation will be 30 x $20 = $600).

A portion of your Annual Zakat to MyLLife – 2.5% of asset/wealth (excluding primary residence). 

As we have communicated late last year, MyLLife is undertaking several initiatives in 2024:

• Public Policy Scholarship: Your donations to the Public Policy Scholarship fund directly support Muslim and immigrant students pursuing studies in public policy or government. By contributing, you provide crucial financial assistance that enables deserving students to secure unpaid internships, empowering them to gain invaluable real-world experience and shape the future of policymaking.
• Nightly Ramadan Readings: Join us every evening during Ramadan for virtual group readings of the Qur'an in English. Your donations facilitate this inclusive and enlightening experience, allowing individuals of all backgrounds to come together in spiritual reflection and communal learning, regardless of their familiarity with Islam.
• Journey into the Qur'an: Embark on a spiritual journey every Friday evening with our virtual gathering, where participants engage in open discussions on topics of spirituality and Islam. Your contributions help foster an inclusive environment where individuals can explore and deepen their understanding of the Qur'an, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual growth within the community.
• MyLLife Digest: Support our monthly newsletter, MyLLife Digest, by donating to facilitate a platform where members can share their expertise, experiences, and stories. Your donations enable us to continue providing this open forum, fostering dialogue, learning, and connection among our diverse community members, enriching and strengthening our collective knowledge base.
• Annual Retreats: Your support for our annual retreats is essential in fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth among our members. By donating, you enable us to organize retreats where members can come together in serene natural settings to delve into discussions on spirituality and enhance mutual understanding. Your contributions facilitate these transformative experiences, creating opportunities for personal reflection, connection, and the cultivation of a deeper understanding of oneself and others. Together, we can continue to nurture a supportive and enriching environment where individuals can flourish on their spiritual journeys.
