All of us at MyLLife are thrilled to introduce one of our 2025 MyLLife Scholars, Maya Salameh!
My name is Maya Salameh, and I am a rising 2L at UCLA School of Law, specializing in Critical Race Studies. I graduated from Stanford University with an M.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Psychology with double minors in Creative Writing and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. This summer, I am working as a legal clerk at Innovation Law Lab, supporting impact litigation to challenge immigration detention and defend the rights of migrants across the country.
As a first-generation Arab American and daughter of immigrants, I hope to make the law more representative of those most vulnerable. I applied to the MyLLife Scholarship because its mission to support civic-minded students resonates with my commitment to justice, storytelling, and advocacy. I’m grateful for this support, and to be part of a cohort dedicated to building a better future.
