Saint Peter's Basilica

Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City is the largest church in the world. Michelangelo, a famous Italian artist, helped design the Sistine chapel which is located in Saint Peter’s Basilica during the Renaissance. It remains one of the finest examples of renaissance architecture to date. It is considered to be an extremely important church for Catholicism although it is not the highest ranking catholic cathedral out there.
