Chapter 78: The Announcement (Surah Al-Naba) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
Verses 1 - 20
What do they inquire about? Asking one another
The momentous Announcement
About which they continue to differ!
They will soon find out
Yes, they will soon come to know!
Have We [God] not made the earth a nurturing place?
With mountains as firm footings
Created you in pairs
Established your sleep for resting
With night as a restful cover
And the day to seek livelihood
We have established seven strong (heavenly) firmaments above you
And placed a bright light (sun)
We send down water from clouds in abundance, to grow
Grains, herbs and fruitful pastures!
The Day of Decision – already fixed!
The trumpet is sounded
You all come forth in multitude
The heaven is opened up
So it becomes a wide entry way
The mountains are set in motion
Appearing as mirages
Verses 21 - 40
The Hell lies in wait
A destination for the ungrateful!
Confined in it for the longest time
Having no access to comfort or drinks
Except boiling and dark drinks
A fitting requital!
They rejected Our messages, calling it a lie
While We recorded everything in a document!
So bear the consequences
We shall add nothing but further torments!
Those who were mindful and acted responsibly
A day of contentment
In Gardens and vineyards
Among mates of equal age
Cups full to the brim
Protected from vain talks and lies
A fitting reward – ample gifts from their Sustainer God
The God of the heavens and the earth
And all in-between
All in awe of the Beneficent God!
This day – the Spirit and angels stand in ranks
None speaks unless permitted to by Beneficent God
They speak only what is right and just!
This is the Day of Truth – find your ways to God
If you so desire – seek refuge!
You are being warned of a consequence near at hand
A day when humankind will see what it has accomplished
And the deniers will say, “I wish I was never resurrected!”
Chapter 79: Enforcers (Surah Al-Naziat) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Verses 1 - 33
The enforcers – forceful!
Forward – cheerfully!
Sweeping – rapidly!
Overtaking, stretching utmost!
Regulating the affairs! (v1-5)
The day that makes the convulsant convulse
The consequences manifest
The hearts agitate
The eyes go downcast!
“Are we going to be restored?
To our first state?” They say!
“Even after we become rotten and bones?
Oh, that will be a devastating return!”
Aye, it will be a single blast!
And lo! You are all awaken!
Has the narrative of Moses reached you?
His Sustainer God call on him in the sacred valley of Tuwa
“Go to Pharaoh – He has transgressed all limits!”
Tell him, “Will you purify yourself?
Let me guide you to your Sustainer God
That you may hold God in awe!”
Moses showed him the evidence awe-inspiring
But he refused and disobeyed
Hurriedly gathered his people to proclaim
“I am your god, the Supreme!”
God seized him then
To face the consequences of this life and the life to come!
There are lessons – if you stand in awe of God!
What is more difficult?
Creating you or the heavens?
God made the heavens
Extending its height and making it consonant!
Making the night with its darkness
And the morning brightness to dispel it!
God fashioned the earth after that
Bringing out of it its water and its pasture
Mountains firmly established
For you and for your cattle to nourish!
Verses 34 - 46
When the terrifying calamity manifests itself
Humankind will remember their pursuits in life
Hell will become visible for them to see!
Those who were arrogant
Prioritized the enjoyment of this life
Hell will become the new residence
While those who were in awe of God
Acted responsibly against their evil desires
Will find the Garden as the new residence!
They ask – when will the Hour3 take place?
How can you caution of something
That only God can ascertain?
You can only caution those who stand in awe of God!
The day the Hour will appear to them
They will think – how long have I lived – an evening, a morning?
Chapter 80: He Frowned (Surah Al-Abasa) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
He (Prophet) frowned and turned away!
When the blind man came –
Perhaps he was inclined to purify himself
Or become mindful
Such that this Reminder would benefit him (v1-4)
Whereas you (Prophet) give attention to those
Who consider themselves in no such need
Whose purification is not your responsibility
Yet, who comes to you with eagerness and awe
You give no attention!
But it is truly a Reminder
Let him who will, be reminded (v 5-12)
Books of nobility
Honored and pure!
By the hands of scribes
Noble and virtuous!
Let man parish!
How ungrateful! (v 13-17)
God creates him from a small life cell
And shapes him with precision
Makes living easy
Then causes him to die
And assigns him a grave
And when God wills, He resurrects him (v18-22)
Yet, he does not do what God commands him to do! (v23)
Let him look at his food
We rain down water abundant
Let the soil split
Let grains grow
Grapes and fresh vegetations
Olives and palms
Luxuriant orchards
Fruit and fodders
Provisions for you and for you cattle! (v 24-32)
When the Deafening Blast arrives
Man will run away from his brother
His mother and his father
His spouse and his children
Grossly consumed in his own affairs
Totally oblivious to others (v 33-37)
Some faces on that Day beaming
Full of joy and pleasure!
Other faces will be dusty
Dark, grief stricken
Those are the deniers, wicked! (v 38-42)
Chapter 81: The Enfolding (Surah Al-Takwir) - [Recitation]
(29 verses in total; revealed in Makkah)
In the name of God, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
When the sun is folded up
When the lights of the stars are dimmed
When mountains are set to move
When (precious) she-camels are left unattended
When all wild beasts are gathered together (v 1-5)
When the seas boil over
When souls are sorted
When the baby girl buried alive is asked –
For what sin she was killed (v 6-9)
When the records of deeds are opened
When the covering of heaven is stripped away
When the fire of Hell is set ablaze
And the Paradise is brought near
Every soul will know its readiness (v 10-14)
I (God) swear by the stars
Receding, running their courses and hiding
The night as it diminishes
The day as it softly brightens! (v 15-18)
This, indeed, is the Word from a Noble Messenger (Gabriel)
Mighty and esteemed in the presence of God
Listened to (by other angels) and faithful (to God) (v 19-21)
You companion (Prophet) is not delusional
He truly saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon
He is not remiss in what was revealed to him from beyond
Neither it is a word from the devil rejected (v 22-25)
So, where are you heading?
While this Reminder is but for all of humanity
Therefore, whoever desires, let him find the straight path
But you will not, unless God so wills
The Cherisher of the Universe! (v 26-29)
Chapter 82: The Falling Apart (Surah Al-Infitar) - [Recitation]
(19 verses in total; Late Makkan, 2 years before Hijrah))
In the name of God, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
When the heaven falls apart
The stars are dispersed
The bodies of water overflows
The graves are laid bare
Every soul will be told
What it had done
What it had left undone (v1-5)
O Humankind! What deceives you?
Away from God, the Most Gracious!
Who created you
Made you complete
Put in a wholesome state
Shaped you into forms as God pleased!
Yet, you deny - the purpose and the judgment - of this life! (v6-9)
Do you not realize – there are watchers over you?
Honorable writers and recorders
They know exactly what you do! (v10-12)
The good people - they are in peaceful Garden!
The wicked? In burning Fire!
All destined to enter on the Day of Judgment
None can be absent! (v13-16)
What is this Day of Judgment? How can you explain?
Again, what can make you comprehend what this Day of Judgment is?
It is a Day when
No soul can do anything for another soul!
All commands will come from God alone! (v17-19)
Chapter 83: The Defrauder (Surah Al-Tatfif) - [Recitation]
(36 verses in total; two years before Hijrah/Makkah)
In the name of God, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
Woe to the defrauders!
When they take measure of their dues from others, take it fully
But when they measure out or weigh what is due to others, they give less! (v1-3)
Do they not understand that they will be resurrected?
On an awe-inspiring Day
In front of the Sustainer of the Universe, every human being will stand!
The record of the wicked will be in sijjin
Do you know what sijjin is?
It is a book fully inscribed! (v4-9)
Woe to the deniers on that Day
Who denied the Day of Judgement!
But none denies except the evil, the sinful, the transgressors
When Our messages are presented to them, they say
“fables of the ancients”
But what they gather in reality
Is nothing but rusts on their hearts
Rejection from God on that Day
Ready to enter the burning fire
They will be assured,
“This is what you denied!” (v10-17)
The record of the good people will be in illiyun6
What will make you understand what illiyun is?
A written record, to be witnessed
Only by those who are drawn near to God!
Such purified ones will be in bliss
Seated on raised couches, gazing
Their appearance beaming with contentment
They are offered drinks of nectar
Sealed with musk
Something worth pursuing
Mixed with water from tasmeen7
A fountain to drink from
Reserved for those who are closer to (God)! (v18-28)
Surely the wicked used to laugh at the believers
Wink at them when they passed by
These wicked would return to their compatriots filled with arrogance
When they see the believers, they would say, “these are misguided”
Now on this Day, the believers will laugh at the disbelievers
As they sat on their raised couches, filled with contentment
While the disbelievers find themselves reaping what they did! (v29-36)
Chapter 84: Splitting Apart (Surah Al-Inshiqaq) - [Recitation]
In the name of God, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
When the heaven is split apart, and
Hearkens to God, as it must without exception!
When the earth is stretched
Expelling it contents, becoming empty
Obeying God, as it must without exception!
O Humankind!
You must labor diligently towards God
As you will meet God without exception!
As for them who receive their Record in their right hands
Will have an easy accounting
Delighted as they return to their loved ones!
As for them who receive their Record blindfolded8
They will seek avoidance at all costs
But will have no choice other than entering the burning Fire
Sure, they were happy among their people before
Thinking – we will never come back to God!
Well, their Sustainer God sees them all
Witness, if you will, the sun arriving with morning brightness
The night with its darkness
The moon – its fullness (in stages)
You too will move from one state of being9 to another
How is it that they do not believe?
When the Qur’an is read out, they do not submit?10
Indeed, those who disbelieve are nothing but liars
God is fully aware of what they keep to themselves
Let them know that severe consequences are due
Except those who believe and do good
Their rewards will continue unceasing, undiminished!
Chapter 85: The Constellations (Surah Al-Buruj) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
The heaven full of towering constellations!
The Day Promised!
The one who witnesses and the evidence that is attested!
Let the makers of trenches be ruined
Fire fed with fuel
And they sat by it
To watch what they do to believers
Punishing believers for what?
That they believe in God, the Mighty, the Praised
To Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth!
God is a Witness to all things!
Those who persecute
Believing men and believing women
Showing no remorse or repentance
The chastisement of hell is for them
The fiery of fire over them!
Those who believe and do good
Theirs is paradise (of peace and plenty)
Springs gushing forth
An achievement worthy of greatness!
Indeed, your Cherisher’s grip is firm
He creates and then reproduces
He is most Forgiving, and most Loving!
Established on the throne of Power and Glory!
He does what He intends
Have you not heard the story of the forces?
Of Pharaoh and Thamud
Yet the deniers continue to lie
While God surrounds them all!
This indeed is the glorious Qur’an
On tablets, well preserved!
Chapter 86: The Visitor by Night (Surah Al-Tariq) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
The heavens!
The visitor by night!
How will you know what the visitor by night is?
It is a star of intense brightness!
For every soul there is but a keeper!
Let humankind consider the nature of its creation
Out of water gushing forth
From between the backbone and the breastbone
God indeed, can bring it back to life!
The Day when hidden things are uncovered
And none will have power or help
When the sky pours down rain
The earth cracks open (with herbage)!
This Word (revelations) is monumental
Not to be taken lightly!
Yet, they scheme a plan
And I (God) make a plan
Give respite to the disbelievers
Let them be for a while!
Chapter 87: The Grandest (Surah Al-Ala) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, God of Mercy and Endower of Mercy!
Glorify the essence of your Cherisher God
God most High
Who creates and evolves
Who determines and guides!
Who brings out green herbage
Then reduces them to dried stubbles
We will aid you in your recitation (of the Qur’an)
So you will not forget
Except as God wills
He knows what is manifest
And what is hidden
We will ease your way into ease
Therefore, remind (people)
There is benefit in such reminding
But only the conscientious will mind!
While the most wicked will ignore
Who plunges into the great fire
Where he will neither die or live
Successful indeed is he
Who purifies himself
Remembers the essence of his Cherisher God
Shows devotion (to God)
But (most) prefers the life of this world
Whereas the Hereafter is better
And lasts longer
These are in the scriptures from earlier generations
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses!
Chapter 88: The Overwhelming Event (Surah Al-Ghashiyah) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Has the narrative of the Overwhelming Event come to you yet?
(Some) faces on that day will be downcast
Weary and laboring
Entering fire blazing
Forced to drink from a boiling spring
Nothing as food but thorns
Neither nourishing nor satisfying hunger!
(Some) faces on that day will be content
Satisfied with their pursuits (in life)
Situated in a lofty garden
Not hearing in it any vain talks
With fountains flowing
Seated on raised couches
Drinking cups ready in place
Cushions in rows
On carpet spread out!
Do they not see how?
The clouds are created!
The heavens are raised high!
The mountains are fixed firm!
The earth is spread out!
Therefore remind
Your only task is to remind
You are not a warden over them
Whoever then turns away and denies
God is there to chastise them
With grave consequences
Surely to Us (God) is their return
Then it is on Us to call them to account!
Chapter 89: Dawn (Surah Al-Fajr) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
By the daybreak!
The ten nights!
The even and the odd!
The night as it recedes!
Isn’t in these there is a call for those who reason?
Have you considered how your Cherisher God dealt
With the people of A’d?
(In the city of) Iram with lofty buildings
The likes of which were not established in the land
And with Thamud?
Who curved (dwellings) on rock in the valley
And the Pharaoh?
Mighty and powerful
But transgressed all limits in the land
And caused great mischiefs
God brought a portion of His punishment on them
Indeed, you Sustainer God is ever Watchful!
(Consider this) how your Sustainer tries a person
He gives him honors
And does him favors
And he says, “My Cherisher God honors me!”
But when He (God) tries him (differently)
By restricting his provisions
He says, “My Cherisher God humiliates me!”
(In reality) you yourself do not honor an orphan
Do not feed the poor by urging one another
And consume other’s inheritance unjustly
And love wealth with passionate greed!
(Be mindful) when the earth is pounded to pieces
And you Cherisher God appears with angels in organized order
And the Hell become visible on that day
Man will become mindful then
But how useful will that mindfulness be?
He would exclaim, “Would that I had prepared for this life.”
On that Day none can bring out consequences as God will
None can constrain as God will
O soul at peace!
Come back to your Cherisher
Being well pleased (with yourself)
Being well pleasing (to God)
Be with My servants!
Enter My Garden (Paradise)! (v 27-30)
Chapter 90: The City (Surah Al-Balad) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
I (God) swear by this city
A city from which you (Prophet) will be made free!
And (swear) by parents and their offspring!
We (God) created human beings to undergo trials and exertions
Yet they think no one has power over them
Did We not give them two eyes?
And a tongue and two lips?
And articulate two clear choices (good and evil)?
Yet they make no attempt for the steep hill!
How will you know what this steep climb is?
It is to free a slave
Feed on a day of hunger
An orphan nearby
A poor person
Covered in dust
He who responds with faith
Inspires one another for patience
Inspires for compassion
These are the people on the right-hand side
Then there are those who deny Our guidance
These are the people on the left-hand side
Encircled by Fire!
Chapter 91: The Sun (Surah Al-Shams) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
(Reflect!) The sun and its emergent brightness!
The moon as it follows and borrows!
The day as it shines and exposes!
The night as it covers and hides!
(Behold!) The sky and how He (God) constructed it!
The earth and how He expanded it!
The soul and how He shaped it!
Informed it ways of denial or alignment (with truth!)
He succeeds
Who strives to grow (the soul) in purity!
He fails
Who strives to corrupt (the soul)!
(Look!) How (the tribe of) Thamud rejected the truth
And behaved arrogantly
The most wicked of them fanned out with mischief!17
The messenger of God informed them:
“Leave this she-camel alone.
Let her have her drink!”
But they call him a liar
And hamstrung her!
God then destroyed them for their rebellion
They were reduced to rubbles!
God is not fearful of the consequences of His actions!
Chapter 92: The Night (Surah Al-Lail) - [Recitation]
In the name of God, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy
The receding night
The radiating day
The creation of male and female
Indeed, your strivings are diverse!
As for those who are generous and act responsibly
And testify to what is good
We (God) facilitate their ways to ease!
As for those who are niggardly and egotistic
And rejects what is good
We facilitate their ways to difficulties!
His resources will not save him as he destroys himself!
Surely, it is on Us (God) to guide
Surely, to Us belong the Hereafter and the former!
Therefore, I warn you of a blazing fire
None steps into it except the most wicked
Who rejects (the truth) and turns away (in arrogance)
But those who acts responsibly will be protected
Who gives away his resources for self-purification
Without any favors to or from anyone
Except to seek the grace of his Cherisher, the Most Grand!
He will indeed be pleased (with his life’s work)!
Chapter 93: Morning Brightness (Surah Ad-Dhuha) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy and Endower of Mercy!
By the brightness of the day!
By the night when it becomes still!
Your Cherisher God did not forsake you
Nor is He displeased
Indeed, your future state will be better than your past
Soon your Sustainer will give you (plenty) that you will be well pleased!
Did He not find you (Prophet) an orphan
And gave you shelter?
Did He not find you looking for guidance
And showed you the Path?
Did He not find you in need
And enriched you?
Therefore, for the orphan, never be harsh!
For those who ask, never rebuke!
And for the gift from your Sustainer, always proclaim!
Chapter 94: The Expansion (Surah Al-Inshirah) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, Endower of Mercy!
Did We (God) not
Expand your heart (Prophet)?
Remove your burden
Weighing heavy on your back?
And raised your reputation high?
So truly, with every difficulty, there is ease
Surely, with every difficulty there is ease!
Therefore, when you are able, exert yourself
And direct your devotion to your Cherisher God!
Chapter 95: Fig (Surah Al-Tin) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
The Fig!
The Olive!
Mount Sinai!
This secure city!
We (God) have created humankind with the best of make
And render some to the lowest of the low
Except those who believe and do good
Never to exhaust their rewards!
How can you then deny this judgement?
Is not God the Best of all judges?
Chapter 96: Attachment (Surah Alaq) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
READ in the name of your Cherisher (God)!
Who creates
Creates human beings with attachments!
Read!
Your Cherisher is Grand and Most Generous!
Who teaches with Pen
Teaches humanity what it does not know (yet)!
Beware
Humankind is ever ungrateful
rebellious because it considers itself self-sufficient
(whereas) its eventual return is back to its Cherisher (God).
Have you seen them who obstruct
a servant (of God) in his devotion and prayers?
Should they not consider if he (this servant) is on the right path,
Or if he encourages mindfulness and a sense of responsibility?
Has he (this servant) ever denied the truth and turned his back?
Doa they not know that God sees?
Surely, if they do not stop
We (God) will drag them by his foreheads
Forehead - lying and unjust!
Let them then call on their cohorts
We too will summon Our forces.
Never (Prophet) follow them
(instead) bow down
And draw closer (to God).
Chapter 97: The Glory (Surah Al-Qadr) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Indeed, We (God) revealed it (the Qur’an)
During the Night of Glory!
What will make you comprehend
What this Night of Glory is?
The Night of Glory
Better than a thousand months!
When the angels and the spirits descend
With permission from the Cherisher God
Attending to all affairs (as tasked)
“Peace!”
A proclamation till the appearance of daylight!
Chapter 98: The Clear Evidence (Surah Al-Bayyinah) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book35 and the polytheists36 could not shake off their condition until the clear evidence came to them – a Messenger from God, reciting pages that are pure and contain all the right revelations! (Yet) the People of the Book became divided when the clear evidence came to them, whereas all they were asked was to serve God, being sincere in their faith and to be committed, to maintain ritual worship (salat) and to take care of the needy (zakat) – this is the true religion!
Those who deny from among the People of the Book and the Polytheists will be in the fire, to remain therein – they are the worst of creation! Whereas those who believe and do good are the best of creation, whose rewards – Everlasting Gardens with fountains flowing beneath where they will reside forever! God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with God! This is the condition of those who are mindful of God!
Chapter 99: The Convulsion (Surah Al-Zilzal) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
When the earth shakes with violent convulsions
When the earth expels its burdens
When humankind panics – “what is the matter with it?”
The earth will tell its story on that Day
As inspired by its Creator!
On that Day the humankind will come forth (from graves)
In diverse groups to witness their lifelong pursuits
Whoever had done even an atom worth of good, will see it
Whoever had done even an atom worth of evil, will see it
Chapter 100: The Charging Horses (Surah Al-Adiyat) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
The charging horses
Running and uttering cries
Striking (with hooves) and sparking!
Attacking in the early morning
Raising a cloud of dust
Penetrating the enemy stronghold!
Yes, mankind is ungrateful
To their Sustainer God
Being a witness themselves
Miserly, for their exceeding love of wealth and easy life!
Do they not know?
When what the graves contain will be uncovered
When the secrets of their hearts will be exposed
On that Day their Sustainer God will know all about them!
Chapter 101: The Crushing Blow (Surah Al-Q’ariah) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
The Crushing Blow!
What is this Crushing Blow?
What will explain to you what this Crushing Blow is!
It is a Day
When mankind will be scattered like moths
When the mountains will be like tufts of wool
Then for them whose measure (of good deeds) will be heavy
They will have a pleasing life!
But for them whose measure will be light
The abyss will become their dwelling!
What can explain to you what this (abyss) is?
It is a blazing fire!
Chapter 102: The Abundance (Surah Al-Takathur) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Pursuit of excess keeps you distracted
Until you step in the grave!
Soon you will come to know
Yes, soon you will come to know!
Yes indeed, only if you knew with certainty!
You will see the impending consequences (abyss)
Then you will have the certainty of you (own) vision!
On that Day
You will be questioned about your acquisitions and their consumptions!
Chapter 103: The Declining Day (Surah Al-Asr) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
By the declining Day
Human beings are, indeed, in a state of loss
Unless they believe
And do good
And exhort one another to truth
And urge one another for patience!
Chapter 104: The Slanderer (Surah Al-Humazah) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Woe to every slanderers and defamers!
Who amass and count their wealth!
And assume that their wealth will give them permanence
Nay, they will be thrown into the great Crusher!
What will make you comprehend what that Crusher is?
It is fire lit by ALLAH
It rises over man’s heart
Closing in like towering columns!
Chapter 105: The Elephant (Surah Al-Fil) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Have you seen?
How your Sustainer God dealt with the army of the elephant?
Did He not thoroughly confound their plan?
He sent against them a flock of birds
Pelting rocks of baked clay
Destroying them like straws chewed up!
Chapter 106: The Tribe of Quraish (Surah Al-Quraish) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
For the protection of the Quraish
Their protection during the winter and summer journeys
Let them then worship the Sustainer of this House (Kabah)
Who feeds them against hunger!
Who secures them against fear!
Chapter 107: Empathy (Surah Al-Maun) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Have you seen the one?
Who denies the faith
Is rough with orphans
Partake not in feeding the poor
So are those who worship
But their worship lacks mindfulness
They wish to be seen
They are devoid of any empathy!
Chapter 108: Abundant Good (Surah Al- Kauthar) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Surely We (God) blessed you (Prophet)
With abundance of goodness
(In gratitude) worship and sacrifice
While your enemy are the ones truly deprived!
Chapter 109: The Disbelievers (Surah Al-Kafirun) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Say: “O Disbelievers!
I (Prophet) do not worship whom you worship
And you do not worship Whom I worship!
I will never serve whom you serve
Nor will you serve Whom I serve!
For you is your religion
And for me is my religion (let’s be at peace!)
Chapter 110: Help (Surah Al-Nasr) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
When ALLAH’s help manifests
And victory is achieved!
When you (Prophet) see large groups of people
Enter the faith of ALLAH
(It is time) to celebrate God’s Glory
Seek God’s protection
God is Ever Forgiving!
Chapter 111: Twisted Strand (Surah Al-Masad) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Let the hands of Abu Lahab perish!
He too will perish!
Neither his wealth nor his earnings will be of any use!
He will suffer in fire that bears his name
So too will be his wife – carrier of firewood
Around her neck a strand of twisted fibers!
Chapter 112: The Purity of Oneness (Surah Al-Ikhlas) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Say:
ALLAH is One!
All depends on ALLAH, but ALLAH is Independent!
God begets none, nor is God begotten!
There is none comparable to God!
Chapter 113: The Dawn (Surah Al-Fajr) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Say:
I seek refuge in the Sustainer of dawn
From the evils of God’s creations
From the evils of darkness as it envelopes
From the evil of witchcrafts
From the evils of enviers, when they envy!
Chapter 114: Mankind (Surah An-Nas) - [Recitation]
In the name of ALLAH, the God of Mercy, the Endower of Mercy!
Say: I seek refuge with
The Cherisher of mankind
The Master of mankind
The God of mankind!
From the evils of devil’s whispers
Who put evil thoughts in the hearts of people
(Devils) from among Jinns and mankind!
