MyLLife Scholar 2024 Cohort Spotlight: Eunwoo Kim

All of us at MyLLife are pleased to introduce one of our MyLLife Scholars 2024 Cohort members, Eunwoo Kim!

Hello! My name is Eunwoo, a Political Science student at the University of California, Los Angeles. This summer, I will be working as a Legislative Intern for Congressman Jimmy Panetta (CA-19) at his Washington D.C. office. I am immensely excited to serve my hometown district in the nation's capital, and I am especially looking forward to supporting Congressman Panetta's fight for progressive environmental policy! I will be undertaking a wide range of responsibilities, from organizing constituent correspondence to assisting with legislative research. As a passionate advocate for social justice, I am grateful for this opportunity to directly participate in the heart of America's democracy.

Though I initially applied to the MyLLife scholarship to fund my time in Washington D.C., upon speaking with Rashed, I was immediately struck by the organization's impactful, community-driven mission. I truly feel as though my goals and values align with that of MyLLife, and I am endlessly inspired by their work. Public service is a privilege not afforded to many, and I am incredibly thankful to the MyLLife team for supporting my dream of becoming an environmental lawyer and protecting vulnerable communities from the effects of climate change.
