The Great Mosque of Xi'an

This is the Great Mosque of Xi’an which is located in the Shaanxi province of China. It is one of the largest premodern mosques in China having originally been built in 742 AD with its current form built in 1384 AD during the reign of the Ming Dynasty. This mosque is a Sunni Islamic mosque visited by Chinese Muslims, primarily the Hui people. It truly is a marvelous and large structure spanning an area of 12.3 square kilometers or 7.6 square miles.
