The Cologne Cathedral or the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter is a catholic cathedral in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a famous example of German Catholicism and gothic architecture which helped in its declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The cathedral itself was built in 1560 and is currently the tallest twin-spired church in the entire world as well as the second tallest church in Europe, and the third tallest church in the world.
